Physiotherapy for psychological rehabilitation

Mental illness seems to be closer and closer to us in these years , patients laughing at themselves, self-injury suicide, uncontrolled fighting, etc., these symptoms allow psychiatric doctors to diagnose and treat patients while “seeing through the dispersion of the world”. Looking at helpless family members, looking at patients with more serious conditions, looking at the wounds on the body of small patients or hearing that someone has committed suicide every time, etc., these are undoubtedly blowing all psychiatric medical staff, in order to make patients get better treatment results, doctors in our department not only pay attention to drug treatment and psychological intervention, but also pay special attention to physical therapy, so as to improve the treatment effect of patients. Perhaps for patients and staff who have not been exposed to psychiatric diseases, curious about what physical therapy is, how effective physical therapy is, whether there are side effects on patients, etc., I will introduce you to the physical therapy currently used in sleep centers.

Cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia disorders is also known as CBT-I

CBT-I is a computerized cognitive behavioral therapy program, through the computer interactive interface, with clearer operation steps, highly structured multi-media interaction to express the basic principles and methods of cognitive behavioral therapy, the system through multiple stages of gradual progress, combination of Chinese language, audio explanation, video explanation, human-computer interaction, etc., to increase the attractiveness of the treatment process, improve the rate of treatment, reduce the dropout rate. Self-help treatment of insomnia is realized with the concept of cognitive behavioral therapy, so that patients can understand and use, from receiving treatment to self-treatment.

Indications: CBT-I mainly treats the causes and persistent factors of insomnia, tailors a sleep rehabilitation plan for patients according to their sleep conditions, corrects patients’ bad sleep habits and incorrect sleep concepts related to insomnia, reshapes the reasonable cognitive mode of patients, relieves various negative emotions related to insomnia, and eliminates patients’ fear of insomnia. At the same time, it can help patients reduce or withdraw hypnotics, rebuild a healthy mind and good sleep patterns.

Treatment process: CBT-I can develop a personalized treatment plan, scale evaluation can assess the patient’s nighttime sleep, according to the patient’s own nighttime sleep, we can develop professional cognitive therapy (cognitive therapy includes understanding insomnia, relaxation training, situational experience, expert analysis, recurrence prevention and other cognitive programs). Group biofeedback

As an emerging technology, group biofeedback therapy is a combination of biofeedback therapy and group therapy. Biofeedback therapy refers to the combination of different physiological and psychological signal activities of the human body to make the patient’s internal adverse psychological activities visible and targeted improvement. Group therapy refers to simulating the social microenvironment and establishing a therapeutic group, where members are interdependent and mutually reinforcing. Group biofeedback therapy combining the above two not only enhances the social function of biofeedback, but also broadens the group therapy mode and objectively quantifies the treatment effect.

Indications: suitable for depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress disorder, etc.

Treatment process: through behavioral therapy, breathing therapy, muscle relaxation training, music therapy, suggestive therapy, bibrain synchronization training, etc. to improve the patient’s mood to achieve the purpose of treatment.

I remember a young patient once told me, “Sister, since I did group biofeedback, I do breathing relaxation exercises by myself when I am nervous, and slowly I feel that I can regulate my emotions by myself.” “Hearing this feedback, all of us know that our treatment is working.
